Concern has been expressed about recent acts of vandalism in the Culmore area of Derry.
Sinn Fein Cllr Tony Hassan was speaking after the latest incident in which a number of vehicles had their tyres slashed in the Ardanlee area.
Earlier this year, there were several incidents in the Elmvale, Ardanlee, and Spruce Meadows areas in which attempts were made to break into a number of cars and in other incidents a number of vehicles were vandalised.
Condemning those responsible, Cllr Hassan called on local people to report anything suspicious to the PSNI.
He added: “It’s important that if anyone sees people acting suspiciously late at night in the area they contact the police straight away.”
