John Brown, the brother of Derry’s Eurovision Song Contest winner, Dana, has been cleared of two of five charges of indecently assaulting two young girls in the 1970s.
Brown (60), from Bracknell, Berkshire, denied all five charges throughout the three week trial.
He was cleared of assaulting a girl, now aged 47, in the 1970s when she was under the age of 13.
The jury at Harrow Crown Court is still considering verdicts on three more counts of indecent assault against another girl.
His sister, a former Irish presidential candidate, was in the public gallery as the jury delivered their verdict on the first two abuse charges after more than a day of deliberation.
Before retiring to continue deliberations, the jury was told by the judge he would accept majority verdicts on the remaining charges.
