Derry City appear not to be suffering a Europa League hangover as they lead UCD at half-time in their SSE Airtricity Premier Division clash at the UCD Bowl in Dublin.
Goals from Michael Duffy and Rory Patterson seem to have obliterated the nightmare 5-1 drubbing by Shakhtar Soligorsk in Belarus on Thursday.
Duffy struck in the 20th minute when calmly slotted past Connor O’Donnell after ebing set up by Mark Timlin.
Patterson, the league’s top goalscorer last season, doubled the advantage three minutes before the break when he took advantage of a slip my Gareth Matthews to score past O’Donnell.
