Derry City return to SSE Airtricity Premier Division action this evening when they will be looking to get back to winning ways against UCD in Dublin after the disappointment of bowing out of the Europa League during the week (kick-off 5.00pm).
Manager Peter Hutton will be expecting his side to bounce back following their 5-1 defeat by Shakhtyor Soligorsk in a second round second leg qualifying tie in Belarus on Thursday.
Derry are seventh in the league table, seven points clear of the students in 10th place but Hutton will have warned his players not to show complacency.
The sides met in the Brandywell in April when Roddy Collins was in charge, a game which saw the Cnadystripes come from behind to earn a 1-1 draw.
Rory Patterson, the league’s top goalscorer, is expected to lead the Derry front line for the UCD Bowl clash.
The Strabane striker scored six goals in three league games against the students last year.
UCD will be missing Robbie Creevy and Hugh Douglas while Tomas Boyle and Ian Ryan are rated as major doubts.
