David Elebert has become the latest player to leave Derry City.
The former Shamrock Rovers defender, who was signed by former Candystripes boss Roddy Collins in February, endured an unhappy period at the Brandywell club making only three appearances due to injury.
The 28-year-old joins Mark Stewart, Enda Curran and Roddy Collins Jnr who have all been allowed to leave City by Peter Hutton.
A statement on Derry’s official website. a club spokesperson thanked the Dubliner for his “professionalism” during his period at Brandywell
The statement said: “David may unfortunately look back at his time at the club as a very disappointing spell for himself as a player due to injury having made just three appearances.
“However, now that he is close to full fitness we hope that David can find a new club during the summer transfer window.
“Derry City would like to thank David for his professionalism while at the club and wish him all the best in the future.”
