The 22-year-old Oakleaf fighter will face 23-year-old Cheavan Clarke, from Montego Bay in Jamaica, in the light heavyweight (81 kgs) division in a round of 16 bout in Glasgow.
Both men gained a bye in the round of 32 (first round).
The winner will meet either 25 year old Nigerian Lukmon Lawal or 31 year old Kenyan Elly Ajowi Ochola in the quarter-finals.
Meanwhile, Sean’s fellow Derry man, Connor Coyle, will face 25-year-old Dennis Thomas, from Georgetown in Guyana in a middleweight round of 16 bout tomorrow.
Sean, who boxes for St Joseph’s ABC in Galliagh, gained his place in the last 16 with a comfortable unanimous points win over 35-year-old Lungile Dyamdeki, of Lesotho, yesterday.
