Local youngster Cormac Burke has become the latest player to be released by Derry City.
The 20-year-old midfielder was signed by former manager Roddy Collins at the start of the season after an impressive trial period.
However, he failed to make a league start under Collins and current team boss, Peter Hutton.
Burke, an Northern Ireland under-17 and under-19 international, began his senior career in 2012 with Ipswich Town, making his debut in a League Cup first round tie against Bristol Rovers on in August that year.
He becomes the fifth of Collins’ signings to leaving Brandywell since Hutton took over the managerial reins at Brandywell, the others being Jon Paul McGovern, Mark Stewart, Enda Curran and Roddy Collins Junior.
