John Quigg: Derry City Reserves team boss.

Derry CIty Reserves kept alive their hopes of winning the Ulster Senior League title with a nine-nil hammering of Finn Harps Reserves at Maginn Park in Buncrana last night.

The win moves City within five points of league leaders Cockhill Celtic, with just two games remaining.

John Quigg’s side can close the gap to two points with a win over Swilly Rovers on Saturday.

However, Cockhill, managed by former Derry City striker Donal O’Brien, will secure back-to-back titles if they defeat Letterkenny Rovers in their penultimate game of the league at Leckview on Sunday.

If they do slip up there and Derry win their “game in hand” against Fanad United on Wednesday next,  the title will be decided on the final day of the season when the pair meet at the Charlie O’Donnell Sports Ground in Buncrana next month.
