Derry City 4 Bohemians 0
Michael Duffy made it five goals in two games as Derry City extended their unbeaten run in the SSE Airtricity Premier Division to six matches with a comfortable 4-0 win over Bohemians at Brandywell tonight.
Duffy followed up his first hat-trick for City in last week’s 6-1 away win over UCD with another two goals as Derry celebrated manager Peter Hutton signing a two-year extension to his contract at the club.
Rory Patterson put the Candystripes in front in the 25th minute before Duffy put the home side firmly in command before the half-time break with goals in the 31st and 45th minutes to take City’s record to a staggering 15 goals in their last three league games.
Patterson added a fourth in the 69th minute to take his tally to six goals in his last three league games.
The win moves Derry up to fifth place in the league table.
City travel to Dublin on Friday next for their next league game – against Shamrock Rovers (kick off 7.45pm).
