Derry City manager Peter Hutton has signed a two-year contract extension with the Candystripes.
Club chairman Philip O’Doherty has confirmed the former club captain has signed a deal that will keep him at Brandywell to the end of the 2016 season.
Mr O’Doherty said he was “delighted” Hutton, who succeeded Roddy Collins in May last, had agreed to stay in charge.
Mr O’Doherty said: “Peter has really hit the ground running and has achieved a much improved level of performance.
“This two year extension is a vote of confidence in his approach and a recognition of the hard work he has put in, over the last four/five weeks.”
Mr O’Doherty asked fans to show their support for Hutton and the team by turning out in large numbers for tonight’s SSE Premier Division clash with Bohemians at Brandywell (kick off 7.45pm).
