One of Derry’s best known and oldest family businesses has been shortlisted for a top business award.
McLaughlin & Sons, which opened in William Street in 1913, is nominated along with a number of Ireland’s most historic businesses in a competition being run by the Irish Times.
The hardware store has been a fixture of Derry life for generations and even survived being badly damaged in the Troubles.
