Celtic Swifts began the defence of the Tony Quigley/Shakes McDowell Memorial Cup with a comfortable 5-2 win over Ardmore in their quarter-final clash at the Magee playing fields on Duncreggan Road in Derry tonight.
Ballymac had a 3-1 win over Strand United in the other last eight game.
The quarter-finals continue tomorrow night with Tony’s Bhoys taking on Top of the Hill Celtic tat 6.30pm followed by the meeting of Derry City and Tristar at 7.30pm.
