Police in Derry are appealing for information following the overnight theft of a bicycle from a garage and the attempted break-in of a car at houses in the Waterside area of the city.
At around 2.15am the owner of the house at Sandringham Drive in the Prehen area saw a male youth make off from the garage with a black Carrena bicycle.
The youth was described as being of thin build with short hair and was wearing a bomber jacket.
Police are also investigating an attempt to break into a car which was parked at a house nearby and are appealing to anyoine who noticed any suspicious activity in the area to contact them at Strand Road on the non emergency 101 telephone number.
Information can also be passed anonymously through the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
