North West Golf Club honorary secretary Jimmy McFadden followed up his second place finish last week to take first place in Saturday’s Open Stroke Competition at Lisfannon.
Playing off 14, Jimmy covered the first nine holes in 32 nett which he followed up with a 35 nett on the back nine for a winning score of 67 nett.
In second place and making a return to North West was tCathal McElhinney (6).
Four over after nine holes, Cathal covered the back nine in level par fo a nett 68.
Best gross score of the day went to scratch golfer Kyle McCarron who shot a one under 69.
In third place was Stewart McGinley (4) who had two “nines” of 36 and a nett 68 despite having two “sixes” on his card.
The back nine prizewinner, with a nett 33, was Michael Gallagher.
