Dungannon Swifts 2 Institute 2
Two goals from Stephen O’Flynn earned Institute a deserved draw against Dungannon Swifts in their opening Danske Bank Premiership clash at Strangmore Park.
The Cork man struck three minutes into injury time to secure a point for Paul Kee’s side who were making their return to the top flight of northern Irish football in four years.
A super strike from 25 yards by the former Derry City striker had put the Drumahoe side in front at half-time.
A late Gary Liggett goal followed by a Ryan Harpur penalty five minutes from full-time put the home side in front.
However, O’Flynn’s late strike made sure of ‘Stute’s first point of the season.
