A project which saw the transformation of waste ground in Co Derry has been shortlisted for prestigious award.
Thanks to the efforts of the Northern Ireland Housing Executive and the Glens Community Association, a previously bleak and unused grass area in Limavady has been developed into a woodland garden, carefully designed to meet the needs of the whole community with a “sow and grow” section, nature walk, tranquillity and Marie Curie Garden.
As a result, the Glens Community Garden has been nominated for a Transformation Award at this year’s Sustainable Housing Awards organised by Inside Housing and the Chartered Institute of Housing.
