Colmcille minors put in a great performance in the quarter-final of the Minor Championship on Monday night to come out on top against city rivals Pearses.
With a huge game from Matthew Carlin at midfield, the Colmcille lads won by 5-06 to 1-06 at Celtic Park.
The victory was down to a solid team effort with outstanding performances from Adam McDaid and Mickey McCallion (2-01).
Team coach, Brian Duffy, has called on all members of the minor panel to step up training in preparation for the semi-finals.
Colmcille chairman, Mark Higgins, has urged all club members and supporters to get behind the senior team this Sunday, August 17 when they take on Moneymore in the first round of the championship.
Training for the senior and minor teams continues at Páirc Cholmcille on Tuesday and Thursday nights from 7.00pm to 8.15pm.
Under-14 training is on Wednesday (7.00pm) and Saturday (11.30am), also at Páirc Cholmcille.
