A charity golf day is to be held at City of Derry Golf Club at Prehen at the end of this month in memory of Aidan McLaughlin, son of City of Derry head greenkeeper Conor McLaughlin and his wife Róise.
Aidan was born with a rare fetal brain tumour and against all odds lived for five months and two days.
During this tim,e the Irish Cancer Society provided 47 nights of respite care which was essential in allowing Aidan to be cared for in his home.
The format for the charity golf day on Friday, 29 August, will ladies and gents singles stableford with the cost £5 for members and £15 for visitors, with the proceeds going to the Irish Cancer Society.
