Some of the best known names in Derry are taking part in the “ice bucket challenge,” the latest internet craze to sweep across the city.
To complete the challenge, participants must post a video of themselves on line having a bucket of ice-cold water poured over their head.
By doing so, the person has the right to nominate someone to take up the challenge and donate to the Cancer Research charity.
Among those who have completed the challenge have been DUP MP Gegory Campbell, Derry City footballers Gerard Doherty and Barry Molloy, Institute striker Stephen O’Flynn and former Derry City captain Kevin Deery.
Numerous members of the public have also completed the challenge.
