Two men arrested by police in Derry yesterday in connection with the shooting of a 32-year-old man in the Waterside area of the city last month have been released.
The two, aged 33 and 31, were detained by detectives investigating the shooting the man at a playpark in the predominantly loyalist Lincoln Courts at around 11.30pm on Tuesday, 22 July.
The victim, who was shot in both legs, was treated in Altnagelvin Hospital for non life-threatening injuries.
At the time, local DUP MLA William Hay claimed the man was “ordered” to go to the playpark before being shot.
