POLICE PROBE THEFT OF RED DIESEL

Police in Magherafelt, Co Derry, are appealing for information about the theft of red diesel from a farm.

Fuel worth about £650 was stolen in the early hours of Saturday from Bogashen Road in the Portglenone area.

A PSNI spokesperson said a  van may have been used in the theft and police were keen to hear from anyone who saw suspicious activity.

The spokesperson said information could be given on the police non-emergency 101 telephone number or,  Alternatively,  to the Crimestoppers charity anonymously on 0800 555 111.
