A man is being treated in Altnagelvin Hospital in Derry after being injured in a shooting incident in Strabane earlier this evening.
Police have appealed for information about the incident in which the man was shot in the legs in Ballycolman Estate shortly after 7.00pm.
PSNI Sergeant McIlewaine asked anyone who may have witnessed the incident or who has any information to contact police at Strabane on the non emergency 101 telephone number.
Or, if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111.
