A 31-year-old man has been arrested near Maghera in Co Derry by police investigating the theft of a car in Coleraine.
Yesterday afternoon, police received a report a Vauxhall Vectra had been stolen from a filling station at Dunhill Road, Coleraine.
About 30 minutes later, members of a police patrol spotted the car at Coleraine Road travelling towards Maghera.
It was stopped a short time later and the driver arrested on suspicion of vehicle theft.
He was charged with a number of motoring offences and released to appear at Coleraine Magistrates Court on 22 August next.
