The 81-year-old woman who died after she was hit by an articulated lorry in the centre of Magherafelt in Derry at lunchtime today has been named as Rhoda Kearney, who was from the town.
The accident happened shortly after 12.10pm in Broad Street in the town.
PSNI Inspector Alan Hutton has appealed for anyone who witnessed the collision or anyone who was travelling on the Broad Street around the time of the incident to contact the Collision Investigation Unit at Steeple Police Station or local police at Magherafelt on the non-emergency number 101.
