Scott Rankin put in an impressive performance to win the popular Dessie’s Run 10K road race held in Derry last night.
The Foyle Valley Athletic Club runner had five seconds to spare over runner-up, City of Derry Spartan Greg Roberts,winning in a time of 31.30.
Robert’s team mate Gary Slevin finished third in a personal best time of 32.40.
Lifford AC’s Ann Marie McGlynn had a comfortable win in the ladies race with a time of 35.30.
Over 300 competitors took part in the race held over the Gransha course in memory of former Sparta AC captain Dessie McNulty.
