Two new social housing developments in Derry are due to get their names rubber-stamped by the City Council tomorrow.
Members of the council’s Environmental Services Committee are expected to follow a recommendation to name an Apex Housing 128-house development at Skeoge Link Road in the Shantallow area as Clon Elagh.
The name is to reflect Clongoliagh (Glengalliagh) and Elagh which are local townland names
They are also predicted to rubber-stamp the name of a Trinity Housing 17-housing development at Nelson Drive in the Waterside as Caw Mews.
