The Buncrana Road in Derry has reopened after a serious collision.
The accident involving two cars occurred late this afternoon at a junction at the Whitehouse Retail Park close to the Skeoge Road roundabout.
The main Derry to Buncrana road was closed for a period while emergency services dealt with the incident.
Firefighters used cutting equipment to free a man from one of the vehicles.
It is understood a number of people were taken to Altnagelvin Hospital for treatment to injuries which are not thought to be life-threatening.
