Stephen McKeegan (4) repeated Dermot Canning’s feat of the previous day of having the best gross and best nett scores in the Open Stableford at Prehen yesterday.
A very steadily compiled round of level par gross gave him the winning score of 40 points and also a return of his three handicap status.
Vincent Devenny (7) finished in second place with 38 points, a break tie going in his favour over Michael Feeney (8). Michael had a costly blank at the last but was glad to be back on the podium again. best of the ladies on the day was Mary O’Doherty (35) on 32 points.
