Peter Hutton is expected will field the strongest Derry City possible when they take on Drogheda United in their FAI Cup quarter-final clash at United Park tonight (kick off 7.45pm).
With the cup representing the Candystripes only remaining hope of silverware this season, Hutton made no secret of the fact he had one eye on tonight’s game when he made seven changes to the City side that lost heavily to Dundalk in the Airtricity Premier Division on Monday night last.
However, Hutton will be without Shaun Kelly who is cup-tied as a result of playing for Limerick in the competition prior to signing for City.
Also missing will be Danny Ventre who continues to struggle with a knee injury.
Rory Patterson, Philip Lowry and Michael Duffy are all expected to start tonight’s game.
