Police in Derry are investigating the disappearance of a dog from a house in the Curryneirin area.
Detective Constable Richard Donnell said a resident returned to his home at Ridgeway Drive at around 6.30pm last Friday to discover the family’s Jack Russell was missing.
DC Donnell added: “A trail of blood was found from the living room to the back yard and we are investigating the possibility that someone went into the house and harmed the dog, before removing it.”
He said Information could be given on the police non-emergency 101 telephone.
Alternatively, it could be provided to the Crimestoppers charity anonymously on 0800 555 111.
