Australian cult trio, The Necks – a band regularly cited as “one of the most extraordinary groups on the planet” – are to make their first appearance in Derry next month.
The 4 October gig in St Columb’s Hall is part of the band’s four-date tour of Ireland.
In recent years, along with their regular international touring, The Necks have been invited by Nick Cave to appear at All Tomorrows Parties and collaborated with Brian Eno in Pure Scenius at the Sydney Opera House and Brighton Festival.
Last year, they released their 17th album “Open” to critical acclaim, as they continue to brace their standing as “one of the greatest bands in the world.” (New York Times)
Together for over 25 years, the Australian cult trio are recognised internationally as an unrivalled band.
Featuring lengthy pieces, which build in a mesmerising epic fashion, their shows are never less than phenomenal.
Tickets are available through Ticketmaster and early booking has been strongly advised.
