Police in Derry are investigating a mugging in the Moss Park/Glengalliagh Road area of Derry.
Appealing for information, Detective Constable Richard Donnell said the youth was knocked to the ground and a mobile telephone taken from him by force at around 8.25pm on Friday last.
DC Donnell added: “We are keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident or who saw a male dressed in a grey tracksuit fleeing the area.”
DC Donnell said Information could be given on the police non-emergency 101 telephone number.
Alternatively, it can be provided to the Crimestoppers charity anonymously on 0800 555 111.
