Gerry Harkin swept into first place in the Sunday Sweep competition played at North West Golf Club yesterday.
Eighteen points on the front nine was followed up by a blistering score of 24 points
for a grand total of 42 points, the highlight of his round being an “eagle” three at the par five 18th hole.
In second place, also on 42 points, was young Sean McCloskey who, despite starting with a double-bogey, recovered to score 22 points on the front nine followed solid 20 points on the back nine.
Jimmy McGee (14) took third place with 40 points, a great back nine of three over gross and 22 points added to a front nine of 18 pts.

Two open singles competition are on offer this Saturday and Sunday to members and visitors alike.
Both competitions will be Stableford played off the “back Sticks.”
