Police in Derry are appealing for information about a street robbery in the city at the weekend in which the victim was hit on the head with a bottle..
The incident occurred close to the Fountain on Saturday night.
Detective Inspector David McQuade said a 23-year-old man was walking near Tillie’s Brae at about 9.30pm when he was approached by two men, one of whom struck him on the head with a bottle.
During a struggle, the assailants stole the victim’s wallet before he managed to break free from them.
DI McQuade said information could be given on the police 101 non-emergency telephone number 101.
