The Long Tower community in Derry is “in shock” following the theft charity money from the local parochial house, Sinn Fein Cllr Patricia Logue has said.
The money was taken from the charity box in Long Tower Parochial House on Pump Street on Saturday afternoon last.
Cllr Logue said: “People in the local community are rightly shocked on hearing this news. The Parochial house is always very busy with people coming and going, getting passports signed ,buying Mass cards or on parish business.
“Hopefully, someone will have seen something that can lead to apprehending the culprit.”
