The PSNI are continuing to question a 21-year-old man following the death of a teenager in the city.
Police have sealed off a flat in Cromore Gardens in the Creggan area following the death of a 19-year-old woman.
Local people said an ambulance was seen leaving the area in the early hours of this morning.
A PSNI spokesperson said police were investigating the circumstances surrounding the death.
Local Sinn Fein councillor Kevin Campbell, who visited the scene, said the death had caused “widespread shock” in the area.
