A woman escaped injury when a petrol bomb was thrown at a car in Derry last night.
The incident occurred on while the woman was driving along Glengalliagh Road shortly after 9.00pm.
Inspector Sam Shearer said while the woman was not injured she was left badly shaken by the incident.
The black Peugeot 307 car she was driving was not damaged.
Insp Shearer appealed to anyone who saw the incident to contact police.
He said: “I would ask anyone who may have witnessed this incident or who has any information to contact Police at Strand Road on the non emergency number 101.
“Or, if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details, they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
