An elderly woman has been left “deeply shaken” following a bomb explosion in the Hazelbank area of Derry.
The small device went off after it was thrown through the window of a van at Drumard Park in the early hours of this morning, causing minor damage.
No one was injured in the incident.
A PSNI spokesperson said police were investigating a motive for the incident.
Condemning those responsible, Foyle SDLP said the explosion had left a woman in her 70s “deeply shaken.”
