Cannabis with an estimated street value of £24,000 has been recovered by police in Limavady using a specialist search dog.
Acting Sergeant Ian McCluskey said the G District Crime Team carried out the “proactive” search operation in Roe Valley Country Park earlier today, assisted by Max, one of the PSNI’s drugs dogs.
Sgt McCluskey added: “The search, in an area known as O’Cahan’s Rock, uncovered a large amount of herbal cannabis, thought to be worth somewhere in the region of £40,000. All items have now been removed for further examination.”
