Jack Logue (20), twice a captain’s prize winner in the last few years, added another title to his growing collection with a narrow victory in the prestigious Harry Bryson Trophy at City of Derry Golf Club yesterday.
Jack’s score of 41 points gave him the title by the narrowest of margins, a count back being needed to push Patsy Gallagher (28) into second place.
Liam Reddin (16) was third on 40 points with Ali Duncan (15) and Ortie Phillips taking the fourth and fifth places respectively on a tie break with 39 points each.
The competition is played for annually by City of Derry Thursday Society members to honour the memory of Harry Bryson, one of the Society’s most highly regarded former member.
