POLICE HUNT WOMAN WHO PUNCHED WOMAN IN EYE

Police in Co Derry are appealing for information about an assault which occurred in the Magherafelt area on Wednesday night last.

At approximately 8.15pm, an unknown female called to a house in the Riverside Gardens and assaulted a female occupant by punching her in the eye.

Appealing for information, PSNI Sergeant Sam Young said: “I would ask anyone who may have witnessed this incident or who has any information to contact police at Magherafelt on the non emergency number 101.”

He added: “Or, if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details, they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
