Police in Derry are appealing for information following a number burglaries and thefts in the city over the weekend.
Sometime between 5.00pm on Saturday and 3.00pm on Sunday a house at Caw Hill Park was broken into.
Detective Inspector David McQuade said the owners were on holiday and “at this stage” it had not been established whether anything was taken.
Damage was cause to the rear door of a house at Woodbrook, off Buncrana Road, when an attempt was made to gain entry yesterday afternoon.
In the same area, a power washer was stolen from a garden shed in a theft that was discovered on Saturday afternoon.
On Friday afternoon, a resident living at Rossnagalliagh Park discovered a lawnmower had been stolen the previous night.
Meanwhile, a third floor property on Abercorn Road was broken into on Saturday afternoon.
DI McQuade said information could be given on the police non-emergency number 101.
Alternatively, it could be provided to the Crimestoppers charity anonymously on 0800 555 111.
