Police in Derry say they are investigating a number of reports of what they have described as “nuisances” caused by motorcycle scramblers in the general Shantallow area of the city.
PSNI Sergeant Phil Martin said the local Neighbourhood Policing Team were aware of issues in the area.
One report last night related to three scramblers, with passengers aboard, being driven at speed in the Drumleck Drive area.
Sgt Martin said such activity posed a danger to those on the scramblers as well as a nuisance to local residents.
He added: “Other reports over the past few days included one of a scrambler going through back alleys at Killala Park. There have also been incidents at Academy Road and Upper Nassau Street.”
Sgt Martin cocluded: “Police are seeking information about those using the scramblers. The City North NPT can be contacted by calling the 101 non-emergency number.”
