As part of the Faughan Valley Landscape Partnership Scheme, RAPID are offering an exciting new heritage training opportunity for local community representatives, volunteers or local people interested in the natural and built heritage of rural Derry and the Faughan Valley.
The training is LANTRA accredited and will take place in the new LANTRA approved training centre in the RAPID offices at the Old School, Killaloo.
The new course is part of the Heritage Lottery Funded Faughan Valley Landscape Scheme and will take place over five consecutive days from Monday to Friday, 10-14 Nocvember next.
The course is designed for people who have a keen interest in the local heritage and will involve learning about the natural environment, geology, archaeology, buildings and general history of the Faughan Valley Landscape.
The course will also involve getting the wellies on and visiting important heritage sites and places out on the ground.
