RIVER DEATH NOT SUSPICIOUS, SAY POLICE

Foyle Bridge.

Police say there are not treating as suspicious the death of a woman whose body was recovered from the River Foyle in Derry today.

The woman’s body was recovered by members of the Foyle Search and Rescue close to Foyle Bridge shortly before 12.45pm.

They had been carrying out a search  following a report of someone falling into the river at 1.00am.
