Ricky Porter (18) was the convincing winner of the latest Thursday Society competition at Prehen, scoring a very impressive 41 points despite blanking the last of the first nine holes.
A superb birdie on the next hole however immediately redeemed the situation and victory was assured.
Recent top dog on his annual trip to Portugal Jack McFarland (22) had an ugly blank on the last hole that cost him dearly but after a countback that was decided on the last six holes went in his favour, he held on for the second spot ahead of Cecil Thompson (13), both scoring 39 points.
