Veteran campaigner Gerry Coyle secured his Christmas dinner with a solid score of 37 points in the Christmas Fayre competition at North West Golf Club at the weekend.
In very challenging conditions, which saw the strong wind turn a normal nine iron shot into a four iron, Gerry was the only golfer to break par.
Eight-handicapper Philip Doherty took second place with 35 points.
Only one “two” was recorded throughout the day when Ronan Mc Laughlin birdied the par three eighth hole.
