Thousands packed the City of Bones this evening to enjoy the annual Derry Hallowe’en festivities.
The heavy rain which threatened to drench the proceedings thankfully cleared prior to the start of the spooktacular Banks of the Foyle Carnival parade featuring over 500 partiticpants including ghostly dancers, skeleton crew and ghastly ghosts
Both sides of the River Foyle and the iconic Peace Bridge were packed for a stunning fireworks display.
But for many the party is only beginning with thousands packing into the city’s pubs and clubs while others headed for “houses parties” across the city.
So don’t be surprised if run into superheroes such as Superman and Batman as they make their way home in the daylight hours.
