Cattle worth thousands of pounds have been stolen from a field close to Derry.
A farmer from the Eglinton area reported to police that sometime between Saturday, 25 October and Saturday last, 16 cattle were removed from a field behind the Copperthorpe.
The cattle vary in ages and breeds from Friesian, Belgian Blues and Aberdeen Angus and are valued at approximately £6,000.
