The 37-year-old man killed in a road crash close to Moville in Co Donegal last night has been named as John McGonagle.
Mr McGonagle, a father of three young children, died when his Ford Mondeo left the road a few hundred yards from his home at around 11.00pm.
A member of the Halfway Stockcar Track at Burnfoot, he has been described as a “happy, loyal, loving brother, uncle and friend.”
The accident occurred at around 11.00pm at Clar, Redcastle, on a minor road immediately off the Derry to Moville Road, approximately six miles from Moville.
Mr McGonigle was driver was the only occupant in the car. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
His body was taken to the morgue at Letterkenny General Hospital where a post mortem was to be carried out.
He is the third person to died on the Donegal’s roads in the past week.
Last week two motorcyclists were killed following separate accidents in Raphoe and Burt.
